A Prayer to Finish Assignments

Hey Lord,

Here I find myself waiting till the last minute to finish my assignments once again.

I could have started a week ago, but I didn’t. Each time I do this, I think about how next time I will be different, how next time I can start ahead and not feel so pressured to finish on time – or feel anxious about the deadline. But here I am.

Lord, even though I don’t deserve it please have mercy on me. I pray and ask that you will be with me as I finish my assignments. I commit this time (even though it is rushed) to my assignments and to you- forgive me for not providing the space to work on my assignments in a timely manner, God.

May you have mercy on me. May our professors have grace on us. Lord, I pray that as I do these papers and projects that I can use these in my future- that these page limits, word counts, and words on a screen are not wasted. I ask you, Lord, that you will give me and my peers and friends the motivation to finish this semester well. May you be with us as we finish these assignments. May we have adequate rest and food.
